Something in me wanted to beg Grayson to want me. It was clear his father didn't tell him anything about me or he wouldn't have that opinion that nearly crushed my heart. It was hard to explain my feelings considering this was the first time Grayson and I actually met. I had seen pictures of him for the past year but not once were we introduced. I loved his father; he was a good man who just didn't know how to be gentle. During the entire funeral service, I could see that Grayson had it in him to be kind and gentle, but after hearing the news that we were tied to each other, I didn't think he'd be the kind and gentle soul I saw there mourning his father. Instead of gathering the nerve and telling him the truth, I ran back to the mansion into the sanctuary that was my room. I didn't know how long this room would be mine because of the stipulations of the contract. I belonged to Grayson now. Would he even want me in his bed? I sat on my bed reliving the only time I saw them together.
