I don't know how to feel about this series honestly. Don't get me wrong, I've loved the first two stories. They are quick and perfect to sneak in quickly. Like this one for instance, I was supposed to start a buddy read today but needed something to read quick the night before. So at 63 pages, I had it read fast, because let's face it, I can't go to sleep without something to read. It was a hot little number with some alpha shifters. I mean it was absolutely perfect for what I needed last night, but here's my problem with it.....The first book was like 64 pages and this one said 63, I think, and they are over $4 a piece. Now, I don't mind spending that on a long book AT ALL, but for 60 something pages it seems really pricey. I normally don't even hesitate about price, especially $4, but I expect more than 60 pages for that amount. Whatever, I've never complained about price, especially in a review, but there it is. I don't want to sway away from the series, it's good, and I'll probably keep going with it, just a little high on the price for the amount of pages. This is another short story, though it's actually a little shorter than the previous story. There wasn't as much sex in this story as there was in the first one, but to me that's a nice improvement. However, that improvement was somewhat overshadowed by the holes in the world building established in the previous story. There wasn't any mention of soul mates or destined mates in the first story, yet this story focuses entirely on the fact that the hero and heroine are fated soul mates. It actually makes the first story look bad since Gage and Marissa weren't soul mates like Cain and Emily, which makes their story seem less interesting/important than the second one.Aside from that plot hole, this story is a fascinating read. It's got a lot of elements that I really like about werewolf stories. I usually don't care for stories where the romantic connection has been previously established, but in this case it made their love more believable.I'm not sure if it was the previously established romantic relationship or an improvement on writing, but I found the characters to be a whole lot more believable than they were in the first story. Despite the shortness of the story, I found myself endeared to these characters and wanting to know more.I wish that this story was longer and gave you more details about these characters, but at the same time it seems like there was the right amount of detail. This story isn't full of inner monologues or pointless scenes. I suppose to add length to the story would also mean adding more scenes or information than necessary.Looking forward to reading the other two stories in this series and I'm excited to read future stories from this author.
What do You think about Pack Enforcer (2009)?
Just as good as the first one. Again a storyline that surprised me since it rarely used.

2nd in the Were Chronicles series. It was good but I didn't care for the heroine much.
