Pale As A Ghost (2011) - Plot & Excerpts

I have to give this one 3 stars because the boyfriend is dead. It bothered me that he was still hanging around 10 years later not letting Duncan move on with someone else, someone living. Sure Duncan loved him back, but how much of a relationship can a living human and a ghost have? Duncan missed that physical connection with someone and it wasn't fair of Robbie to keep him from having it. When Duncan tried to move on, Robbie kept getting jealous and saying Duncan was cheating on him. The zombie dog was weird. I think this book would have been a bit more enjoyable if the idea of ghosts, witches, etc was explained a bit more. It was just there matter of fact. If a book is going to have paranormal stuff like this in it, I prefer an explanation beyond "all those things exists if you open your mind to them". I wanted something a bit more believable. To simply say this was not your everyday M/M romance would be a terrible understatement, BUT it was a hell of a ride through some crazy sh*t with Duncan! It'll be a long time before Duncan, Robbie, Gina and the assembled cast of crazies leave my thoughts. I'll be looking for more from this author because I like the style and pacing of the writing and really like the characters that spring to life (or after-life in some cases) from his wonderful mind. If off-beat supernatural with a M/M element is your thing, give this a try, I think you'll enjoy it too!Edited to add: Yes! There are two more books out in this series - Animal Instinct and Scarlet Tide.

Very enjoyable. Almost no "romance" but plenty of delicious potential to come in the future.
