Para Sa Hopeless Romantic (2013) - Plot & Excerpts

Naalala ko yung nabasa ko sa isang facebook page, “The most important things are the hardest to say.” Isa pa, masyado natin pinaniniwalan ang to see is to believe. Sa ngayon I still can wait. Who knows tomorrow? Haha Now, this was a super quick read. I'm not really a huge fan of Marcelo Santos III. I watched a few of his youtube videos though I think those are too dramatic, cliche and a bit unrealistic for me. Still, I am really fond of young male Filipino authors. I also believed that Santos is one of the few who are actually deserving to be published. Para sa Hopeless Romantic is a such a sweet experience. It doesn't have the really tiring plots that usual pocketbooks have. The storyline is okay. It's not heartbreaking nor jaw dropping. It's not something that will make me cry nor laugh out loud. It is an okay book but it is super refreshing. I love how interrelated each of the five stories and I love how the book ended. The way Marcelo writes is sometimes boring, also it is quite hard to distinguish one narrator from another.I don't know. I haven't read a Filipino novel for a long time. (I'm still patiently waiting for Bob Ong's next book.)P.S. I can't still get over the fact that Jackie is probably the most well written character yet she have the shortest story.
