I thought this book was really fun and sexy. Quick, easy read with two, sexy Alpha men. I had no idea it was a BBW romance when I read it and wouldn't have known if my husband hadn't pointed it out to me. There are several mentions of the women in the book having curves and big breasts, but it wasn't really the most prevalent part of the story line. Since they're all relatively short (episodes or a serial series even), I read all six within a few days and found them to be consistently enjoyable. It ain't Shakespeare, but it's a nice, diverting read. This isn't a bad 3 stars it's just an unfulfilled three star rating. I get that this is being released in 6 parts but it would be much better to have it all at once. I feel that it makes the story too choppy to have it broken up this way. Just as you're starting to get into the characters the story ends. I enjoyed the premise of this story and I hope when I read all short stories I will feel that it is complete. As a reader you do have to realize that this is very much an alternate universe not just our us now with vampires thrown in. Every century the vampires kings pick a human female to mate with and the humans allow this. Now of course if you've read any dystopian novels you'll know just how much humans will allow to happen. Though this is not a dystopian novel in anyway it does take that little extra bit of allowing yourself to remember this is not real this is a fiction. If you can allow yourself that then I think the rest of the story flows and can be enjoyable. At least as much as a super short cliffhanger story can be. My only real pet peeve with this is that it's tagged/noted to be a BBW novel. Sure it is mentioned that the heroine had curves and large breasts but multiple times she herself even states that she's not overweight. Even her doctor tells her she's not overweight. So as someone who specifically chose this novel since it was tagged as a BBW I'm disappointed especially as someone who is not a size 2. I'm still on the fence about recommending this, I'll have to read the next one or two parts to the story.
What do You think about Part 1: Mate's Lore (2014)?
Loved this book! I couldn't put it down... Now onto the next in this series.
