Kate is hired by a researcher to time travel, and gets sent to a future which has no women and exceptionally hot men. The world-building didn't make a whole lot of sense, but this was a lot of silly fun, if you don't think about it too much. I don't think I've ever read a menage story before, but I would guess that this one, with its two innocent, eager heroes, has quite a different vibe than usual. I gained this book as a free-read on all romance and It will be a reread I think!Kate travels to a future where Women no longer exist (As soon as I read this bit I knew I would love it). When she arrives she is in the room of the beautiful Aley. Before long she has to return to her own time but does return to Aley's room to meet him again along with his partner Tem. As they are in a time where no women exist the men gain pleasure by themselves, from each other or by some sort of virtual reality device. They have no idea about the sexual practices of previous civilisations. Over her subsequent visits Kate quite happily indulges the pair in learning about the female form and the pleasure of sex.I loved the way the the men treated Kate - like some sort of new toy they had to discover everything about. I thought Stein made a really good job of showing Tems developing feelings towards Kate over such a short novel; especially as she also managed to convey his confusion over such foreign emotions! The sex scenes were smoking, if I had one issue it was the addition of Aley to the sex scenes as it didnt feel like a true menage. With the way the characters were written they probably wouldnt have done anything if he wasnt there though! All in all a good read! If I had one complaint about this story its that it was a short story.
What do You think about Past Pleasures (2010)?
A silly, but funny time travel book...a future where you are the only woman? Sweet!
