Santos was hovering around with a coffee pot, attempting to refill their cups. “Ladies want more coffee?” he asked sweetly, pot poised in the air. “Oh, my, Santos,” said Essie. “I’ve already had two cups, which is one cup past my limit.” “Me too,” added Marjorie. “If I have any more caffeine in the middle of the day, I’ll never sleep tonight.”
