This is probably one of KA series I havent read and it definitely took me a while to get to try it. Normally Im not huge into paranormal books (but apparently I like shows), yes fantasy, sci-fi Ive gone there and liked it just not always my thing per se. Ive been spoiled by all the KA contemporaries that this one started a bit slow for me to get into. But I did enjoy it a lot after reading.I do enjoy the Scottish stuff, especially the hero with the brogue. Interesting character a bit of getting used to but still good. It wasnt heavy on the paranormal aspect just light but its there. One thing that is prevalent is KA flare for the alpha male heroes and heroines that are a bit nuts but hard not to dislike. I can still feel the her style of writing and that made the flow and little nuisances still likeable. It's probably the season for the spooky and Ive enjoyed it all so I will finish up the series sometime before holiday reading begins. I really enjoyed this book. The main characters are interesting, although Cash is a real bastard for a while. It takes Abby a long time to develop a backbone. The supporting characters are also very detailed and interesting, Mrs. Truman is a hoot! The story is well done, but I love all kinds of paranormal romance. I found myself finding excuses to to find more time to read it. That's a sign of a good book to me!
What do You think about Penmort Castle (2013)?
Loved it, but for me the ending felt a little rushed.
