The Perfect Location was a great book to sit and read. It created a sense of escapism and allowed you an insight to the characters in Hollywood removing them from their stereotypical image. All three characters, which the story concentrated on, had their own different backgrounds and found themselves in difficult positions which wouldn't be told in the press to stop them from damaging their image. It poses the question, what are the secrets of those in Hollywood keeping from the media's attention? What was good about this book and the characters was that it showed that fame and fortune which people seek doesn't make them happy. It comes with its drawbacks such as those issues discussed within the pages which Kate Forster has done an excellent job at doing. One thing that caught my eye, and was a nice touch, was the split sections of: Pr-Production, Production, Post-Production and Deleted Scenes which stuck with the movie theme and created a sense of timing in relation to getting ready for filming, the filming itself and what happened after. I would definitely recommend this. It is a real page turner. For 99p on Amazon, I'd say it's a brilliant price for Kindle but I'd say it is worth more. Bargain. 3.5 stars for this one.Fame... Movies... Men... Secrets... GlamourRose Nightingale is an Australian actress still recovering from a bad marriage. She is older, kind but not very happy. I imagined her something like Julia Roberts after bad marriage and divorce.Sapphira De Mont is the world's most beautiful movie star, but hides a secret addiction and a broken heart. I definitely think that Angelina Jolie is the inspiration behind this character. She is beautiful, confident, popular but her drug addiction made me sick. I don't like books about addicts. Calypso Gable is a young star on the rise trying to escape her mum-manager's clutches. Calypso was my favorite character because she is too young, innocent, good and naive to be in this world. When the three women meet in Perugia, Italy, on the set of their new tearjerker THE ITALIAN DREAM, they find out more about one another - and about themselves - than they ever thought possible. This was a good book - not some crazy page-turner but solid. Bit to long and detailed for my taste.
