This was a very short story so it only took a couple hours to read. It could be read as a stand alone story but you would enjoy it more if you have read other books in the Kate Burkholder series by Linda Castillo. I have read all of them and they are wonderful mystery/thrillers about Kate who is the police chief in the Amish town of Painters Mill. This was a nice little mystery to ride us over until the next book in the series comes out. I really loved this short story. Kate and Tomasetti are planing a quiet and relaxing weekend at a little bed and breakfast but of course something gets in the way. Arriving at the B&B they learn of a young woman who went missing there 23 years before.I'm always a little skeptical of these little teaser stories that are so popular at the moment but this one didn't disappoint. Linda Castillo is one of my favorite authors and I can't wait to get my hands on the next Kate Burkholder story and return to Painters Mill
Nice short story, although I wasn't thrilled with the resolution.

Not much of a story. Don't know why the author bothered!
