She had been so ready to finally demand some answers and now she wouldn't be receiving any. Not tonight, at least. Indeed, as she'd accepted the hand of the footman and had allowed him to help her into the carriage, Lily had been prepared to tear into the bastard who was forcing her into such a distressing situation and scold him with her hatred as soon as the door had been closed. Indeed, she'd long to yell at him, to ask him how he could have done this to her? How could he have so easily destroyed her life and all without having known her? But now, she couldn't. She wouldn't have the chance to hear from him and that was more difficult than she imagined.
