A practical, fun guide to couponing at every level. The writer's are honest about the time commitment to coupon, but their book is so full of helpful hints and time-saving techniques that you can't help but be inspired to give it a try. They even have dozens of tips for saving without clipping any coupons! There are fun cartoons throughout the book that make it a quick read. Also, I found the "best time to buy" annual chart one of the most helpful items in this book. Most of us know that "Back-to-school" time is the best time to buy office supplies and Christmas décor is all but given away in January, but these ladies give you a list for EVERY month of the year to tell you exactly when the best time is to purchase that item. This was both helpful and entertaining to read. And I saved 35% on my first grocery shopping trip. Even though a lot of the same information from the book is found on the KCL website, I still found it was worth my time to read the book. It was a fast read, and I appreciated the personal accounts Joanie and Heather included on how couponing has helped their families. The detailed explanations of how to match a coupon to a sale, or pair it with a store coupon were helpful, too. I also have a better idea of how to create a stockpile that is tailored to the needs of my family.
