Picture Me Naked (Stoddard Art School, #1) (2013) - Plot & Excerpts

What a perfect romantic read this Picture Me Naked by Lisa Olech was!It is the story of the aspiring young artist Zee at the Stoddard Art School making the drawing of a new nude male model Jagger into much more than that. Of course there are bumps along the way like her terrible ex but there are also dear friends like her bff Leah. I loved the coming to life of the main characters as well as the people around them. This is a light read, nothing too dark, done with great taste. What I liked the most is the easy writing and especially the beautifully flowing natural dialogues.I don't know if this book is Mrs. Olech's first, it is the only one listed here on Goodreads, but I hope it will not be her last. That this book is number one in a series of the Stoddard Art School sounds good.Thank you Lisa Olech. I find that I really fell in love with this book. The author incorporated real life scenarios, crazy ex named ED who thinks he's in love with the woman he verbally and emotionally abused, put her life in danger by messing with her car. When in the end to have Ed say he loves her and wants her back and has the gall to propose to her shortly after he messed with her lover Jagger's car in the hopes the crash would kill him. To me all that really mattered in the book is that she found who she really was meant to be, to allow herself to feel and fall in love, to allow Jagger to stay with her even though they would be putting a hold on the promise Jagger made his dad.....Love in itself is a journey where one has to learn how to open themselves up to the powerful emotion and to be able to draw the line between selfishness and selflessness.
