I'm sad to say I am disappointed with this one... My oppionin on this book over all is that it was just OK but there was potential for it to be really good. For example, I loved the suspence and action. I also liked the relationship between our hero Brady and heroine Jessica, it built slowly as we got to know them and Brady was so sweet and patient. I did start to become annoyed with them in the end though. This book was also surprisingly funny and I really liked the supporting characters. This does make me want to read their story's, but frankly I do not want to pay another $9.00 on kobo or kindle for a 3 star read... So I'm not sure how I will proceed with this series...The biggest problems for me in this book were; the ending wrapped up way to quickly, the beginning was way better then the end, and the writting style bothered me... There was too much quick jumping between Brady and Jessica's third person POV's. Sadly in the beginning it was very clear who's POV we were getting and the story flowed well, but as the story progressed it became jumpy with way to quick POV changes. I'm not going to give a recommendation either way for this one. My suggestion is to look at the other reviews and the blurb it may work for you but for me it fell short. I can't finish this book after all.....and I wanted so much to like it. It started with such engaging characters and their relationship so promising....(I could see their attraction from the beginning.) But alas, the story is dragging half way through the book, and the characters are all over the top either with how evil they are, or how angst their life are.....too much thrown into a perfectly good story. It was ready to end by the middle of the book....I usually don't read the reviews unless they are five star before I finish a book. I don't want others opinion to guide how I view the book, but for this one, I searched out less than 5 star reviews to see if it was worth continuing. Apparently I'm not the only one who think it is over the top and dragging on. And it also doesn't stop dragging until maybe last 100 pages or so.I'm not a fan of Over-the-top stories. And this book has done its share to make me frustrated and agitated.
What do You think about Pieces Of Sky (2010)?
DNF. The evil villain was too over the top. I did not connect at all with the characters.
