What a wonderful, beautiful story of love, acceptance and being true to yourself. I bought this after reading Sock it to Me Santa ( which was fantastic) but I didn't read it until yesterday. That's right- all in one day because I couldn't put it down. The characters suck you right in and you just want to wrap them up in your heart. Lucas is breathtaking, a sweet boy just looking for love or even just a little kindness in his life. I'm not good at writing reviews so I don't actually do many of them but I can't recommend this enough. I'm very disappointed in the less than positive reviews left in here and hope they don't dissuade anyone from give this book a chance. You would be turning away a true gem. Can not wait for Ms. Parker's next offering. Lucas cries. A lot. Granted I probably liked it because it's an emotional, maybe on a pathetic level? I'm glad it had a happy ending, but I think that there should have been more story, and not just the surface story. There was a high point with the characters, but thee vents were pretty flat line. It could have been better. In reality, this book is maybe a 2 or 3. My personal prefer wan is a 4 just because I like mushy stuff no matter how shallow.
What do You think about Play Me, I'm Yours [Library Edition] (2013)?
