Even better than the first in the series, this was a very good read. I liked that Mary Jane had the chance to get to know Landry and Dre before she made her decision, and I like that the vamps took a more strategic role in the dastardly goings on. I like the love scenes although I wish the author would see them through to completion more often instead of the fade to black effect you get given followed by 'And the next morning...' It's a little disappointing and my biggest 'dislike' of this author. Pleasured by the Pack is the second book in the Blue Moon Bride series and even though I haven’t read the first book, this one can be a standalone read. There is a bayou pack of wolves deep in the marsh. Two brothers, Dre and Landry, are a part of that pack and tonight is their blue moon. When a blue moon hits the bayou, it shines extra bright on a woman who is destined to be a mate/bride for someone in the pack. Along the way there’s rogue vamps trying to steal brides, a hot bayou captain, and of course, hidden trysts in the bayou.I didn’t read the blurb before reading this book, so at the end when the twins talk of sharing her with the pack, I was shocked and surprised. Apparently in the first book the wolf shares his mate with his brothers. This bothers me, though it’s a personal issue. While Mary Jane wasn’t shared in the book, she felt a “thrill” that it might happen later. The plot was decent and I’d be interested in reading more of the bayou pack, though I feel like mates should be a bit more possessive.~ Bitten By Books for AReCafe
