Psychopath Free: Recovering From Emotionally Abusive Relationships With Narcissists, Sociopaths, & Other Toxic People (2013) - Plot & Excerpts
Such a great book. I always felt like the "crazy person" in my relationship.. to the point I wanted to die. Nobody really ever saw the psychopath side of my partner until it was almost too late. There are so many people out there who are suffering in these same situations and this book helped me realize I am not the loser.. I am valuable... and people who truly love others do not make them feel worthless and could never discard them so easily. I do struggle with "no contact"... this book helps me realize that no matter what, the cycle won't end unless I end it... that I was very much in love with someone who could never love me back.. and it's time for me to let that go and accept it. Psychopath Free: Recovering from Emotionally Abusive Relationships With Narcissists, Sociopaths, & Other Toxic People (Paperback)by Peace This book is a great read. I discovered this book when I read that the founder of the website with the same name- Psychopath Free had written a book. As a former victim of emotional abuse this book helped me to come to terms with the loss of a relationship that did not add up. There are many things that I could list in here but I know that deep down I was prey to a man who has so many issues deep set inside himself that would have many a person shaking their heads. Of course in the beginning life seems fantastic at first, maybe much greater than the usual...This book was very hard for me to put down and as I read each page I found myself nodding in a agreement with its text. As it is written by a survivor of abuse, I appreciated it greatly as if the author was right beside me telling me their story and what to look out for should it happen again and the reasons why we fall these certain types of people. I recommend this book wholeheartedly as it has helped me to overcome one of the most painful experiences I have had in my life. Thank you Peace :-)
