I read somewhere that this book had a pretty slow build...that's a lie. They were dating within three days. This heroine was supposed to be strong willed and a girl who didn't fall for the arrogant boy's charm...while she had her moments for the most part her strong willed banter was weak at best and flat out non existent at its worst. This book was cheesy and just not worth my time. It didn't suck me in the characters were really superficial and they talked in half thoughts. If the first sentence was a complete one then the author felt like it was okay for the rest to start in the middle somewhere. Sure I could still understand the message being conveyed but it made the story really choppy and lacking in that smooth flow most people enjoy in a book. Anyway, just didn't do it for me. More power to you if it does/did. 4.5 starsI read Push The Envelope without expectations. I just wanted to read a college romance, something different from what I've been reading lately. I saw this book mentioned sometime ago in GR so, I thought, why not? I am so glad I gave it a try. Really glad. Ecstatic!I got what I was looking for and more. An OTT possessive alpha who isn't afraid to show his feelings (just ignore the book cover, that's not how I pictured Drake), a levelheaded heroine with a backbone who doesn't take crap from anyone, an engaging story with a hotness level that sizzles and with just enough angst to make things interesting plus great secondary characters that I've grown to love. Can't wait for Jackson's story next!
