Vampire Shift is an exciting read, it keeps you interested from beginning to end! Tim O'Rourke is a breath of fresh air and his writing is amazing! The characters in the story are well rounded and very developed. The story starts out with Kiera Hudson, a new police recruit, starting her journey to the Ragged Cove on her first assignment. Very strange things start to happen and as soon as she arrives. From the hotel she stays in with a mysterious "guest", to her boss, at the police station, and her fellow police officers Kiera finds her self in serious trouble from day one. Kiera has a special gift and can "see" things other people can not. Can Kiera use her gift to "see" whats really going on in this crazy little town? Find out and Read this Book People!! I will recommend this book to anyone with a love of paranormal or a sttong female chatacter! ~5 stars~ Storyline was fine. I found it distracting/annoying, though, that very often there was a disconnect between introductory phrases and the actual subject of the sentence. For instance, multiple occurrences similar to: "Hiding in the locker, the man walked by." Where the author clearly means the female first-person character was hiding in the locker, and a man walked by. But, as written, it actually indicates that the man was hiding in a locker and also walked by.
What do You think about Quart De Nuit (2000)?
It was okay.. Didn't like the way this book ended and I don't think I will read the next one
