Quatre Naissances Et Un Enterrement (2011) - Plot & Excerpts
Ijust discovered the author, Lisa Jewell. This is the second book of hers that I have read, and I enjoyed it. The subject matter, donor children meeting each other and their father, is not something I read about often, so it was interesting. I loved how the author let us know each character deeply, before they all met and met their father. I was disappointed that they were not able to have much interaction with him, but loved the ending knowing that their lives would be closely connected forever. Enjoyable book, easy to pick up and put down. Likeable characters. As with all chick lit, story nicely wrapped up with a bow. Everybody's lives seemed to be made whole and complete by the end of the book. While it was enjoyable, it was a very simplistic view of half siblings and that dna and looking similar will give you a familiar connection to someone. With so many half brothers and sisters in the world, does everyone feel like that or only when dad hasn't abandoned his family?

The stories were nicely woven together, the story was compelling, I couldn't put it down.

I didn't find any of the 'secrets' particularly thrilling, but it was an easy read.
