Qu'est-ce Que L'Évangile? (2012) - Plot & Excerpts
In this book Gilbert breaks the gospel down in the most personal, impacting, life-changing, eye-opening way I've ever read. The entire book is focused on the cross, and how we fail to allow the cross saturate every aspect of our entire life. It is such a refreshing, grace-filled read, I recommend every believer read it, and even beyond that, read it at least once every year. It's super short but so impacting. PLEASE READ IT!!!! Accurately defining the gospel is the focus of Gilbert’s book, and he succeeds in providing a biblically-based account divided into four main issues: God, Man, Christ, and Response. Citing the modern-day tendency of many churches to dilute their message, Gilbert rightly suggests that the gospel—centered in the death and resurrection of Christ—must have primacy in the Church. Gospel is basic in scope and somewhat brief, but is a good introduction to a critical issue.
