Better than I thought it would be, from the blurb. I liked the developing (non) romance between Nathan and Stephen. It was difficult to decide which was more damaged and emotionally repressed. I wanted to shake Nathan sometimes because he is so tunnel-vision clueless about Stephen's attraction to him.The main reason I din't rate it higher is that I thought the story was developing nicely and the author could have gotten the two together without using the gay-bashing incident and subsequent recuperation period.I wouldn't mind a sequel :) A fun little story about a rent boy, his client and a May-December romance. The author always writes in a way that appeals to me and it was realistic with Nathan's injuries. He has a broken jaw which is wired shut and to be honest, I kept expecting it just to conveniently vanish (perhaps I'm jaded from too many stories where injuries of convenience are just forgotten) but it was there the whole time and a pain in the butt for them. An enjoyable read for my weekend. Forgot to add also a nice female friend character. Caring, but not overbearing or annoying.
A warm uplifting story of dreams and acceptance. I loved it. Only complaint, I wanted more.
