For some reason I'm nuts for fiction about the Royal Navy during Napoleonic times. Ramage books are, of course, of that genre and this being the 14th book of the series you'd think it was getting old by now but I have to say I felt this was the most enjoyable Ramage in a long long while. Tension, suspense, intrigue and, at the end, vindication but still with many things left unresolved to be continued in the next book. Good stuff, I recommend to Ramage readers but for others, you'd be lost with so much if you hadn't been up on the previous books of the series.
