Now, comes the third book of The IT Girl Series. Reckless by Cecily von Ziegesar continuesJenny's and Callie's problems along with Brett's and their dealing with Tinsley's return. Easy finds himself falling in love with two girls and Tinsley makes sure both girls know about it along with everyone in Dumbarton and the boys. Kara, a new character introduced, used to be bullied by Heath Ferro until she finally lost the weight and came back, a new sassy girl who is now recognized as beautiful. Heath as usual, is getting his kicks out of undeserved girls. Brandon finds himself with a newfriend, Jeremiah's friendwho he lost his virginity to. Brett finds out about this, but not in the way she hoped. Playing a game of I Never, Brett notices that Jermiah and Elizabeth raise their cups, indicating they have lost their virginity. When Brett realizes this she is heart broken and discusses this with Jeremiah claiming the exact same thing. Brett finalizes the conversation by saying he should leave. Jenny, heartbroken, with Callie, Kara, and Brett make a pact to always have self respect with themselves and eachother. This drama is all revealed during lockdown weekend when the boys sneek in Dumbartonand start their own party. while the girls indumbarton are supposed to be reflecting on what a Waverly Owl is, the girls recognize that they are all the same and have given into the stereo-typical labels. As their essay, they all turn in the same one, explaining how the girls recognized this and a few details.
After reading the first and second book, I thought this one was a bit "blah." It was not quiet interesting, but it was a read to get the facts and get going. While reading this book, I just wanted to know what was going on with Jenny and what was going to happen to her next. I did not care about all her other roomates thoughts and what they were going to do. So I realize that I was just skipping a lot of the facts and just moving on to Jenny. This series, I have trufully enjoyed it. I could not have lied that this book was not interesting because I was just flipping through the book. Cecily Von Ziegesar has a great sense of writing skills to catch her reader's attention, and to make sure that everything is worth being said. Even though I did not have my full attention to all the details on the book, I did have the attention to grab the next book in the series and read on. For Cecile Von Ziegesar to have be grab the next book of her series, is good enough for me.
What do You think about Reckless (2006)?
So far i really like this book but not as much as the first and second book. either way the ook is still great!! I just think that cecily v. should have added more action into this book and she should of made the characters more crazy like in the other two books : The it girl and Notorious. The book is about four girls, Callie, Brett, Jenny & Tinsey. they live on waverly campus ( its a high school boarding school) and theres alot of drama between callie and jenny about easy, and theres drama between tinsey and brett about mr. dalton but jenny and brett are bestfriends and callie and tinsey and best friends so its an ongoing problem. Tinsey is the popular girl that everyone likes, and brett is the preppy girl who has alot of friends while callie it also the popular one who is always stressted. and jenny is the cool kind and she is nice..but not from stealing easy from callie.... i know everything i just said was confusing but u just have to read the books! :)

This book was excellent, of course. So far I have loved all the books in the It Girl series, they just seem to get better and better (if that's even possible). In this book, Callie proves she is just plain mean. Callie bribes Jenny with books, desperately tries to win Easy back even though he is with Jenny, and ignores her old best friend Brett. Callie's proves to be dumb from her actions, and Tinsley Carmicheal gets everyone in trouble while getting herself out of it-and of course, even the innocent!

I loved Reckless by Cecily Von Ziegesar due to its spunk and surprises. After Dean Marymount finds out about a party (thrown by Tinsley Carmichael, of course) on top of Dumbarton Dorm’s roof, he puts every Dumbarton girl on lockdown for the weekend. This stirs up a lot between former friends, Tinsley, Callie, Brett and Jenny, because now they have nothing else to do but fight and make one another’s life stink. I think that the It Girl series just keeps getting better with each book, and this novel was no exception. Reckless made me want more and more of Cecily Von Ziegesar’s writing and I can’t WAIT to read the next book. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes fun, daring and modern books.
