I loved this short story though I felt like sometimes the troubles between Blake & Alex, though very real possibilities, were a little forced to create enough drama in the book. HOWEVER, that being said, this story is totally happily ever after for me. Blake is the best husband and step-father to Alex's three daughters and their love is really just beginning even if he's loved her their whole lives! i genuinely had a great time reading both running on empty and recovery! it took me quite awhile to finally pick up this book and read it after sitting on my ereader shelf and i regret not getting started on it sooner!!!! this is my first ever writing a review and all i've got to say is i thoroughly enjoyed myself while reading this book!from the funny moments, to sad ones and even the frustrating ones, i really enjoyed reading this book. the way the story unfolds was just.... :) i love it! thank you for writing these two books! looking forward to reading more books from you! :))

3.5 stars. I just didn't connect to this book like the last one. It was still sweet.
