Reign of Blood is about a small family that survives a virus that turned the world into vampires that behave more like zombies. When her mother and brother go missing, April sets out to find them. Along the way, she discovers that things are exactly as black and white as she thought, and she isn't who/what she thought she was. I'm not sure how I feel about this novel. I like parts of it like the descriptions of world, the idea of the different types of vampires, green blood. But things like the author's repetition of certain words and phrases, scenes that feel as if they aren't fully developed, and a rushed story line once April finds the hybrids stopped me from getting engrossed in the story.I do want to know more and will eventually read the next book, but I don't know when. You have read many stories of a zombie apocalypse, but what about a vampire apocalypse?A viral epidemic has turned most people into some form of mutated vampire, very few humans still survive. April is one of those humans and her blood is like gold to the vampires. April spends most of her time hunting and killing vampires in a desperate search for her missing mom and brother when she encounters a new breed of vampire, one who claims to know where her mom n brother are. Can she trust them? Loved this book takes me back to the days of the scary vampire :)
What do You think about Reign Of Blood (2012)?
So I didn't finish only got 30 mins in and April was too annoying to continue.
