This was a fun book the main character is Annie an American Ex-Pat who has three young sons and was recently widowed finds herself needing money to keep her beautiful house in Paris; so she rents rooms to two American women... Lola is from California with two spoiled children who is running away from a verbally abusive husband she doesn't know how to cook or clean since she had nannies and housekeepers. Athena is from Ohio with a eating disorder. Of course there are men in their lives. The end is predictible but the book is quite entertaining. Really 3.5.A nice book that has some great descriptions of Paris and Parisian culture. If you are into Paris, French food or are thinking of going to France this is a good book to read. I think it has only been published as an ebook and has a few spelling mistakes which the author asks you to help fix and allows you to send her reviews which is a good idea. I did find Annie's behaviour kind of erratic and at times found her hard to like. But really, these issues are easy to overlook and overall its a nice, easy read :)
This was the perfect summer book. It's light and frothy with lots of foodie talk.
