Beautiful photos of rooms with a pared down aesthetic yet still has raw edges and personality. Love this quirky imperfection. Many vignettes could be reproducible in some form in my own home - a mix of wood and white with a glass cloche on top or a small picture and a collection of miniature vases above the sink. Even though the bones of my home are not as nice as those in the book I am still inspired by these photos to let my personality show through in my home. Since I'm not in the market to remodel a house, my idea was to glean unique ways to repurpose household items and other building materials in weird and wonderful ways. Wait til you see the shower on the outside deck accessed through a bathroom window, the concealed shower door, push button switches, the rolling ladders to access loft beds, leather handles on kitchen cabinets, and hallway doors that turn small spaces into closets inside bathrooms. Eat your Wheaties before attempting to read this tome as it is HEAVY!
Stunning photography but a lot of the designs are cold/not my style. May revisit later.
