Rent A Husband: A Romantic Comedy (2013) - Plot & Excerpts
I really like a book ho's hero is no hero at all. For once you have a hero, a romantic male character that it's not filthy rich. For me this book was all about karma, and karma its a b*#tch! On that note Darcy's ex-husband and the the next door nemesis got exactly what theu deserved, wich is nothing good ;)-Darcy is a woman who's marriage didn't turn out how she'd expected and she is trying to pick up the pieces and keep going with her life. For starters she has what every girl needs...a gay bestfriend. Yes, we all need one as showed to us by Carrie in Sex and The City. And so the book presents to the reader the somewhat anti-hero Forrest. A once filthy rich sploiled bon vivant who's family lost everything. He was groomed for a life of indulgence and not for the harsh realities of the world. But he has something that small town beauty Darcy never had and is seeking...that extra something, that joie de vivre that some people have. This book ends abruptly, but in the best of notes! This was one of the books I got to read for fun, without worrying about making a review, and I confess that I enjoyed the time spent reading. The book is light, brings a message of hope. While you laugh with situations experienced by Darcy, you also think of how real people can be petty and selfish around us.Darcy and Forrester deserved a second chance. And the Happily Ever come for everyone!
