Caia and Lucien go to the centre to help Caia control her ability's while there Luciens x lover Rose turns up even though Caia and Lucien are mated she still doesn't know if she can trust him and while his flirting with Rose she thinks her relationship is over. With more important things on her mind she forgets about Lucien and gets on with her training and finds something out about the head of the coven. Jaden has run away from the pack and has joined forces with rouge vampire hunter. A good read. This book was not as good as the first. It took a loooooong time to pick up the pace. In fact, it didn't get really interesting until the last 50 pages or so. But that's okay I suppose. So I am not even going to talk about the majority of the book because it was boring boring blah blah. I am only going to tell you about the last part. The interesting part.In my review of the first book, I said how I was only reading this book to see what happens between Caia and Lucien. As you all should know by now, I am a hopeless romantic. And this book was extremely disappointing romantic wise for the most part... But really came through in the end. It did not end up disappointing me. I love that Jaeden and Ryder get together. They are perfect for each other and so sweet.... And they act around each other like they are already a married (or "mated") couple. In the first book, the PoVs were really confusing. They weren't so much in this book. Maybe I have just gotten used to it, but I found this book much more understandable. At the end of the book there is a huge shocker that happens and I just felt crushed to see Lucien that way. (I'm not going to give it away though) All in all, this book was better grammar and PoV wise, but there was practically no real action until the end. I still recommend it because you just get hooked on the story line without even meaning to, and even though I don't want to, I just have to read book 3.
