Robert Ludlum's The Bourne Retribution (2014) - Plot & Excerpts
This the sequel to "the Bourne imperative". it begins with Bourne mourning the death of an Israeli operative and is spending time in Tel aviv next to Rebeka's burial ground. That is when the Mossad director Eli Yadin requests Jason to company another Mossad operative for a high profile meeting. In that meeting,Carlos the Mexican drug enforcement officer kills th amossad operative and injures Bourne.Thus begins this book where Bourne finds out who Rebeka's killers were and embarks on the journey to kill all who plotted the murder. Enroute, he meets with quite a few exciting characters some who wants to kill him and some who helps him in his mission. The suspense, the pace and the action in this book is fabulous. This is definitely a couple of notches above the previous novel. In the end, Bourne no doubt comes out victorious, but the beautiful twist in the tale are the end moments where he finds his love back. Great book and Eric has done absolute justice to Ludlum's Bourne. Prior to reading 'The Bourne Retribution' I had never, for some reason, read a Jason Bourne novel. I have seen the films though, and liked them, and happily enough I found the character of Jason Bourne in this book to be as enjoyable as the movie version. The story went by, as you would expect, in a blur and proved a good way to spend a couple of afternoons. Would read another instalment in the series.

Just can't get into a book that introduces more than a dozen characters in the first few pages.
