I am having a hard time on what to write about this book. It was the kind of book that I ended up reading in 1 day. I just had to keep going to see what would happen next. I got caught up with the Asher/Maddy romance. Its always nice to read when a "regular" girl becomes a love interest of someone like Asher. It makes you feel like there is always hope. It was extremely sad with Asher dealing with his sister & Ella. If you have a chance to read Rock Him, it is worth your time!! 3 1/2-4 stars. I really enjoyed the premise for this book. Rock star gets custody of his 5 year old niece. Unsuspecting woman suddenly becomes nanny for the child. Relationship occurs. I liked how the hero, Asher, wasn't the "perfect" guardian in the beginning, and had to learn from his mistakes. I really liked Maddy's character--she was sweet and strong, and didn't let her illness stop her from doing what she had to. I thought the build up to the romance was rushed, even though nothing happened intimately until well into the second half of the story. Maybe if the book was longer, this aspect could have been explored more. I felt there was some sexual tension, then they "did the deed", then-BAM-she's moving into his room. There was also some questions about the child's father at the end that I wished went into more detail. Aside from that, I thought it was an entertaining read.
What do You think about Rock Him (2013)?
Good, quick, enjoyable read. I really liked Maddy!
