I knew that out there were thousands, even maybe millions of little girls, twelve years old, who listened to his music and dreamed of one day dating the man who was my boyfriend. I was now living that dream that I had, and sometimes I didn’t even believe it could happen to me. The band released the single they’d been working on in the studio, and it immediately went to number one. I thought things had been crazy before, but they only picked up after the single dropped.
