4-4.5 stars. Jax and Kendal's story continues. I liked the natural progression between them, how neither of them wanted to rush into a relationship because they were both thinking about their son, Finley, first. Kendal held back a lot more than Jax, though, and some of those reservations I didn't quite understand except that she was somewhat insecure or thought that Jax would want to live a rockstar life and not be tied down in any way. However, having spent enough time in Jax's POV, that is far from the truth. Jax surprised me as a character in a very good way, how committed and focused he was on Kendal and Finley. Despite having lived the rockstar lifestyle, his real dream was to have a family with Kendal and no other woman. He could have been more angry, more resentful, more unforgiving - he could have been a lot of those things and more when Kendal broke the news to him but he wasn't. He was quickly able to move on with life and enjoy what blessings he was given and I loved that quality about him. Kendal was already hard enough on herself. Kendal really lucked out in a lot of ways, and with their awesome network of friends, she had a great support system in place. I'm glad she and Jax were able to reunite. Again sorry for the delay. I was lucky enough to read both books back to back so I didn't have to deal with the cliffhanger. This story picks up where Rockstar Daddy leaves off and continues with the story and the relationship building from the last. You will be with all of the same characters throughout this story. These stories do not have graphic sexual encounters so for now, but it has some that leave just enough to make your imagination go wild. As before, I received a complimentary copy of the book from the author in return for an honest review.
