I find conversion stories (individuals' journeys to Christ) touching...when they're real. When authors invent such stories to sell books, I find it trite and contrived. I know there is a market for this, but it does not appeal to me.That being said, I'm glad I didn't like the first 3 chapters. I was listening to an audio of the book and the delivery was as bad as the voice on my phone's GPS locator: wooden and robotic. If I had liked the book, I would have had to suffer through the torturous, unemotional delivery for hours. Janessa, a CIA agent, is assigned to guard the royal family of Meridia, especially Prince Garrett. She ends up falling in love with him--and he with her--but she knows she can never marry him. In the meantime, someone is trying to kill the royal family, and Janessa has to keep saving their lives.This is a cute book, but I'm kind of tired of "strong" women spies who are superwomen and are much smarter than the men they are working with.
