What a truly sweet story this one was. I'm a sucker for anything that includes royalty. The stories are always Disney like to me and this was no different. Angie's writing is fantastic as she unravels a truly beautiful story about two young people trying to find their place in the world. With so many demands and restrictions on their lives, they are both trying to find their path as they struggle against what is expected of them.Becca is stuck on a boat on the Danube river with her family... Well her Dad, Stepmother and her delightful brother Dylan.. I loved him! The ruse is that they become a closer family when Dylan and Becca want nothing more then to be left alone! Becca is a struggling graduate that just had her heart broken by her boyfriend and best friend so leaving them behind isn't the issue it's the ridiculously endless tours and European history she can't stand... Until her terrible sense of navigation and direction land her in a shop looking for the elusive Diet Pepsi, that's when she meets the sexy stranger that gives her the chills... Nikolai is on the run... NO he isn't a fugitive but you would think that he was given the national incident hes cause by shirking off his royal duties... Nikolai is no stranger to demands of him. The Royal bloodline he descends from demands he act a certain way, attend functions, and to one day become the King. But Nikolia hates everything the crown stands for. Stuck in their 18th century beliefs he longs for the freedom of making his own choices and bringing their country of Mondovia into the 21st century. Meeting Becca only solidified his belief that there is more out there for him...As these two young adults brave the world they run into paparazzi, Nikolai's fathers royal guard and a few other bumps along the way, but the one thing that they have is each other. Their special bond forms quickly and casually over their common beliefs and need for freedom... Dylan her devious brother helps them take and adventure that they never could have expected... This sweet story will melt your heart. I give this one 4 stars. It was sweet and romantic and I couldn't have loved Nikolai and Becca more.. This as I said was quite unrealistic read, I doubt if I go travel to Europe I will meet a runaway prince but hey one can dream! I gave this book 3.5 stars, I din't give it 3 stars as a rating because it din't deserve less. This book was pretty cliche but I still enjoyed it very much. I din't find myself attached at all with the characters except maybe Dylan. What made me like the story so much was the character development of Becca, she was always the obedient daughter, she never did anything for herself, in other words, she always pleased everyone but herself and I was glad to see as the book progressed that she finally came out of her shell to make a decision that would benefit her. Nikolai was really sweet and charming, he always kept his ideals no matter what anyone else said. I really did like his sister Alexis, she is such a joy and I'm glad she was just like him. The only character that annoyed must of the time in the book was Becca's father, he was such idiot but I could understand because of his loss. Overall the book was really enjoyable, I loved each adventure they had with each other and that not matter the distance they would find each other again.
