Adam grabbed a small suitcase from his closet and threw it on the bed, in it he placed her clothes, some things of his and the jewelry box. He went back to the bathroom for something and she remembered the bracelet. Eve found the gift bag in the living room and tucked it beneath her clothes in the suitcase. Moments later Adam returned carrying two pistols and a several boxes of ammunition. As he laid them into the suitcase, he dialed a number on his cell phone. He instructed Sam to be out front in five minutes. “Eve, it’s time to leave,” he stated coldly. She had put on her boots and just had to get her coat. She pulled on her coat and walked toward the door with Adam, not saying a word. The silence between them in the elevator left her uneasy, but before she knew it they were in the lobby. Sara stood as they passed by, and Eve could not help but notice that Adam wouldn’t even look at Sara. He obviously was still pissed. Eve smiled at her though, and Sara returned the gesture.
