While I felt it had a slow start at the beginning by the end I was totally hooked. I have read plenty of MC books and I like that Sabrina showed a dynamic where the characters don't just easily take to the MC lifestyle. I enjoyed that it still managed to surprise me at the end when I thought it was going to be predictable. While I won't give up any spoilers cause what's the fun of that i can say after reading the end I can't wait to see how the story turns out for hammer. I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.I read the first book in this series Taming Blaze and really enjoyed it. However, I really liked Saving Axe even more than the first book. I didn’t particularly like Axe in the first book but loved him in the second. Although this book can be read as a standalone, I really think that reading the first book adds so much to the second book. Axe ends up going home to help out a fellow MC member and his family. He grew up with June who has also returned home to their hometown. Both of them had some emotional issues to overcome and both had served in the military. This was a true second chance romance with the darker twist of the danger from the MC connection. June and Axe belong together but it is hard for them to deal with the past issues that damage them. June is looking for peace and Axe found the MC to deal with his past. It is a sweet and sexy story but also a sometimes violent story of healing. I absolutely loved it and can’t wait for the next book in the series. There is a beautiful HEA in the book. It is so different from other MC stories because of the different twists from the author.
