This was a fun read because both characters were so interesting. Sophia, the heroine, is a smart, type-A personality who likes a bit of risk, solves problems, and enjoys being in disguise. Longmore, the hero, is a guy who is .. just a guy. He'd rather be in a bar room brawl to release his energy than being trapped in a parliament session. I've known guys like that. Guys like that get tagged as being dumb, but once you get them focused, they're not so dumb after all! Enjoyable read! 2nd in a series... but since I had read the first quite awhile ago, it took sometime to become familiar with everyone. I do like the way the characters are developed and the plots although there is a bit more sexual description than I need. It was a tad difficult that love could grow with such clever woman when over and over again we are bombarded with comments about how small his brain is or how thick headed he is.
What do You think about Scandal Wears Satin (2012)?
Lyrical prose but unbelievable plot and tepid romance left me disappointed.
