Someone in my building left this downstairs and I picked it up and totally enjoyed it. This author has written a lot and this was my first, though the next 3 are dated prior to this one. These are murder thrillers with the private eyes and police. It doesn't hurt that they are based in S.F. Though there seems to be some discrepancies with places, the content around the murder is fun. It had been a VERY long time that a book kept me up until midnight just so I could finish it. John Lescroart weaves a very believable tale about a sociopathic rapist/murderer from a wealthy, politically influential family, who finally gets out of prison on an appeal process for retrial after ten years. Abe Glitsky, Head of Homocide, whose career was nearly ruined with Ro Curtlee's original conviction, makes a mistake in trying to get RO rearrested following 3 murders that take place after Ro's release from prison and a threat to Glitsky's family and newly elected DA, Wes Farrell.Like his other books, this kept me turning pages till late at night
What do You think about Schade (2011)?
A quick read. The first of his books I have read - would definitely pick up another.
