Blades of the Rose 2.Bennett Day, one of the Blades of the Rose, is intrigued by a mysterious woman he meets in a Greek marketplace. Little does he know that London Harcourt is the widowed daughter of the Blades' greatest enemy, one of the head Heirs of Albion. Bennett is a rogue, sex on two legs, who has never considering settling down with just woan. To find himself strangely attracted to the widow of the man he had to kill is a huge shock.Shocked when she discovers who and what her father is, London joins Bennett and friends in a race to secure one of the most deadly weapons of the magic worlds: Greek fire. London finds herself forced to make decisions that will totally reshape her life and her future. Along the way she blossoms with her new freedom, discovering her own strengths as a woman as well as a survivor.I adore this series, a lovely mixture of old style adventure novels mixed with magic and romance. London's journey is hard, but she has her love for Bennett to help her through it. Every character in Archer's books are well drawn as well. Indeed this universe she has constructed is so incredibly possible if magic had been a source of power fought over by the empire building members of the Heirs of Albion versus those who have declared themselves Blades of the Rose, who knew all cultures and peoples had their places in the world. 4+ out of 5. Truly my favorite of this series. An honest to God swash-buckle adventure-romance. Ms Archer could not have picked a better title. It fits this who story to a "tee". Oh Bennett! I think I'm in love. I may have married a man like Catullus but you may be able to steal me away!I love this whole series. Each love story is unique, the individual plots are fabulous and perfectly in line with the over-arching plot. This book starts my new shelf..."If you are in need: Must READ"
What do You think about Scoundrel (2010)?
This series continues to be fun to read. London is such a strong woman and stole the book.

I enjoy reading this book - more adventure than romance.
