It took me a while to get into this book. Vivien started off as a damsel in distress and then turned into a smart aleck which was a bit of a turn off. So was the part where during their first encounter, Aden was rescuing her on horseback and his erection was evident to both of them....The evil prince was described as downright hideous. It made me roll my eyes when characters are portrayed in such a way that they have no redeeming qualities at all, down to bad breath and oiliness etc; it's just too cheesy. Fortunately, I persevered and things got better story wise, although in general, it was a long winded book. I did like Aden's mama but I didn't care for Vivien's family at all, what a bunch of idiots.Library borrowed. 3 STARS (I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review). (From Amazon)I have rated this novel a three because it is not badly written and I was able to finish it. I read the prequel novella that introduced Dominick, Anthony and Linnet. I would have loved to see more of them in it. I think because I liked the characters from the novella and wanted to know more of them the novel was not as interesting to me. The author will not be writing Dominick's story until a few novels down the series. I think I will give this series up as I am not liking the filler books between Dominic's story.
