In real life Devlyn would definitely be in therapy for treatment-resistant sexual addiction. In this story however, he is one on-fire, mega-attractive, walking sex god, with a massive ego and typical alpha male attitude. Until....he meets his hearts desire, Bride. Together, they grow and change, building an invincible wall against the enemies of AIR. Brides confidence, powers and personality, are certainly strong enough to tame the gorgeous Devlyn and it's easy to see how she disarms him. This was definitely my fav. book in the 'Alien Huntress' series! I'm still not sure how to feel about this book. I'd been looking forward to seeing Devyn's book, to seeing him being shown up. He's such a womanizer and smartass, I was pretty excited to see who would end up being his pair. He showed in Eden's book that he's actually a good guy.Bride didn't disappoint. I love her. I love her mouth, her backstory, her dedication to taking care of her best friend... Her powers were awesome and it was a fun and different twist on vampires. Showalter usually doesn't disappoint, and in the characters she didn't.Their first meeting was promising and fun, smart-alecky and typical of the author's talent. But then... I don't know. I don't like the way Devyn treated Bride sometimes (like in the apartment). He forced her to kiss him and make out and all that jazz, and even though she was secretly into it... She was still telling him no. At times those interactions felt a little bit rapey, and that really disappointed me. I'm not used to being disappointed in this author, so I'll keep giving her chances, but I wasn't a fan of the middle section of this particular book. However, the beginning and end were still great, the plot was still strong, and the characters had flavor. That brought up this 2-star book to be a 3-star book.
What do You think about Seduce The Darkness (2009)?
Tohle byla sranda, fakt, ale nevadilo by me, kdyby ten konec byl vic rozvinuty :D
