Seducing Their Mate (Great Wolves Of Passion, Alaska, #1) (2000) - Plot & Excerpts
Ok, ok, I couldn't help myself, I saw M/F/M/M/M/M/M listed and I just had to know the dynamics of such a grouping. It turned out to be more of a tag team effort so it wasn't as crazy as I expected.Overall, the story was pretty good. The book could have really used some editing as I found that the author often got little details switched up, like how she mentioned how one guy was much taller than his older brother and then on the next said the same guy was several inches shorter. None of it was a deal beaker in the least, but it would have been nice to have been able to have a consistent image in mind of the characters while reading. Plot wise, there was much left to be desired as it really didn't follow up on anything it mentioned in the synopsis and required some suspension of disbelief, but I don't really expect much plot when it comes to these types of books anyway. Still, the book was short (only about 70 pages on my Nook), and ended on a cliff hanger, so I am very interested in continuing the story to see what will happen in the next part. As in most stories of multiple partners, this first book in the series could conceivably stretch the imagination beyond the believable. However, this author does a very good job of introducing the reader to the heroine who is a very committed lover of wolves and who is in Alaska to study their life habits in order to help preserve their presence in the wild. The Dillon cousins have waited for months for her to be open to their advances, because all of them are in love with the same woman. This novella is the first of 8 and none of these stories is a stand alone work. All the subsequent stories will be built on the action and characters introduced in this story. For its size and scope this novella is very well done and is a fun read. There are episodes of erotic loving and the tension that comes from the romantic pursuit of a woman by her lovers. But there is also the tension from the entity that is seeking to do great harm to the characters and to destroy any possibility of future relationship. For shifter lovers and those who enjoy polyamorous relationships, this is a fun read.

I actually enjoyed the beginning to this series. It will be interesting to see how this group works.
