When I first saw Seeing Shadows on Amazon daily deal, I was curious. The synopsis sounded good, the heroine deals with haunting visions of death about the people around her. So genuinely, I wanted to know what these visions were, why does she experience such horrific dreams. Sadly, I was disappointed in the overall outcome of this book. The title of this book should be more clear that it is a series. I am unsure why the book ends where it does because it seems as if it ends right when the action starts. 75% of this book was character development-I liked the characters but feel like I was cheated because so many loose ends. With that being said I will read book 2, simply to see what happens because it stopped in the middle of the story.Rating of 3 stars because I will read 2nd book-other than that it would have been a 2star book Hoping that I don't see any SHADOWS........Wow SPOOKY! Talk about some originality-this story is definitely that! Oh man, I have never read a book like this before. Paranormal stuff like vamps, werewolves, etc. don't really freak me out but this book really kind of did. I'm not ashamed to admit that I will be flicking the lights on throughout my house for the next couple of days. The characters I thought were again original. They were all well rounded. I thought that there were lots of little hidden secrets that each character was dealing with throughout the novel. For example, something is seriously up with Grant and Cara (is she soulless too?). I mean they got some kind of secret going on (possible un planned pregnancy of the past?). Also, you know something big is going to be revealed in the next book about Simon and Caitlin's "connection". Pleade oh plesse let there be some kind of happy resolution (crossing my fingers for a happy ever after) for them. Caitlin's Dad is seriously wacked. My prediction is either he is going to help her in a time of crisis OR mess her up for real.....who knows my speculation can be faulty. :) If you are considering this book...go for it. You won't be let down, with that being said I'm off to start on book #2 Chasing Shadows. I'm sure it will be as unique as the first!
