Sei Il Mio Buio Sei La Mia Luce (2014) - Plot & Excerpts
DNF at 38%This book has been sitting in my tbr for months so I was especially excited when I finally got time to open it up. I had loved loved Edge of Never so had high hopes this would be another 5 star read. Boy was I in for a surprise. I enjoyed the first 23% quite well, I like the flaws that both Bray and Elias displayed, but when I got to the cliff event I just thought What on earth, why would you react that way when you've done nothing wrong. That was the first point I put this book down and thought about DNFing it. I did come back to it again and got to 38%, but I decided to continue. It was getting more outlandish with each twist and I have so many other books I am looking forward to reading that I didn't want to waste time reading something I didn't get the point of. A shame after the high hopes I had for it. I think, with this book, that I am finished with JA Redmerski. I so very much enjoyed one of her books, but everything since has been steadily mediocre, and frankly, I don't have time for that. This book has POV switches and storytelling past/present switches so that each chapter I had to make doubly sure I understood who's perspective and what time we were in. I quit a little less than halfway through and skipped to the final chapter to find out that everything is fine anyway.
What do You think about Sei Il Mio Buio Sei La Mia Luce (2014)?
Every book after the first I read from this author (Killing Sarai) has been a disappointment :(
