This book starts you out with a story about a woman who will be married the next day. She obviously loves the guy but for some reason she is sad because she knows after that day she will no longer ever be with anyone else but him. When her furnace acts up and she calls in a serviceman to fix it she is in for a surprise! God this story was short, sexy and hot as hell. The next story sheesh it''s just as hot if not hotter as the previous story. Chloe is an unhappy housewife bored out of her mind. When she makes arrangements to have her daughters playroom carpet replaced she doesn't think anything special will happen. Boy is she wrong!!!! When the carpet installer arrives I swear I could feel the heat just rush from the book into me. The last story in the book was good but I wanted more of the story to be honest. There was something very sensual and sexy about it though, but it wasn't my favorite. This book is made up of 3 short stories. The first story is about Susan, who is getting married tomorrow, but is having furnace issues. She calls a repairman, Cozma, to fix ALL her problems. The second story is about Chloe, a stay-at-home mom who’s bored with her luxury lifestyle. She buys carpeting and has it installed by Tommy. She ended up buying and installing carpet for the whole house, just to be able to have an affair with him over and over. I didn’t particularly care for the style of writing of the second story; however, the story line of the second story was my favorite of them all. The third story is about a very wealthy woman named Vanessa who likes to put men in their place, particularly younger ones who clean her new pool. Though one day she meets Enzo, a man who completely puts her in her place, and makes her submit herself to him and obey. I don’t like the summary in the beginning of the book. I think the name of the book says it all, and I’d rather be surprised by each short story, without the summary.
What do You think about Service Calls (2013)?
Liked the first and the last, but could've done without the middle tale. 3.5 out of 5
