Sex Und Kunst Und Schokolade: Warum Wir Mögen, Was Wir Mögen (2011) - Plot & Excerpts
For a high school student, this book might have been beneficial, but for a college senior, the information here was basically a review of things I'd already heard. The writing was simple and easy to understand, but a lot of the information was very simple as well, and I wasn't expecting this from the writings of a college professor. I suppose my problem was that I was just expecting more from what I read. I was disappointed. Interesting read with thought-provoking ideas and research-based support for the ideas. I never before thought about humans being the only ones who eat (and enjoy) spicy foods- much less that it might be some type of modern masochism. On the topic of art, I knew deep down that pieces created by animals weren't really "art," but I couldn't articulate why- now I can! And of course I also never knew that humans are one of the only mammals with boneless penises...haha. What a surprise! I was a bit disappointed with the ending though- it was rather abrupt, and without real consolidation. Would still recommend it to others though!
