Miranda loves all things Shakespeare , so when given the chance to help a classmate Stephen , she joins him as they travel back in time to 1581. Their mission to save young Will Shakespeare from being persuaded to be a priest instead of becoming the great writer he was destined to be. Miranda of course is there to remind him of what he would have to give up to become a priest, thus the title, Kissing Shakespeare. A cute easy read for anyone who likes Shakespeare and a glimpse of the historic times surrounding him. In compliance with FTC guidelines, I received this book for free through Goodreads First Reads.Miranda is struggling in her mother's footsteps on being an actress until she gets the ultimate role. One of her costars, Stephen Langford, takes her back in time to meet the infamous William Shakespeare. Stephen has his own agenda, he wants Miranda to pose as his sister, Olivia. He wants Olivia to seduce Shakespeare to prevent him from joining the Church and convince him to start his writings and plays. Miranda is uncomfortable with this seduction but the only way to get back to her time is to go through with Stephen's wishes, she has to play the part she never auditioned for.Over all its a good book, some of the time travel wasn't explained clearly, and the ending leaves you hanging.
What do You think about Shakespeare'i Öpmek (2000)?
Cute. Did I love it? Nah. The concept is fun but the main character kind of annoyed me.
