4 starsThis book was a roller coaster. Not only do we have a broken heart to start with then it heals only to be shattered again. I am not sure how much more I was going to be able to take but WOW I loved every turn of the page.Allie Anderson has knows more loss than one person her age should have to in a lifetime. She turns to her best friend Blake who becomes her lover but she is unable to give all of herself to him because she is not whole. She is still in shattered in a million pieces. But slowing trying to put her self back together. Blake would wait for her. He has proven that over and over.When the one person that crushed Allie’s heart comes back into her life after being gone for 4 years, Allie is not how she feels. He is back but where has be been? And once that is revealed, how will Allie understand? Can she take more heartache? This story will have to turning the pages to the very end then what do you do but have to jump right into the next book. I mean you can not leave all of the unknown questions, unanswered. Julie Bailes definitely knows how to hook you to the very end. The play of characters and when she brought Wyatt back was just perfect. I am looking forward to more books from Julie Bailes. Have mercy... This book has me all kinds of messed up. It hurt and made me so freaking nervous. I laughed because Sophie is a Cracker Jack, maybe a little cray-cray. Al, lord that girl has had it rough. No one should have that much loss and heartache. Blake, oh that's a knight I'm shining armor. He stole my heart. He had me wrapped and the steam factor was so way up there. Combustible!!! I knew something was going to happen, yup, the calm before the storm but I didn't know that Wyatt was going to have a good explanation for his disappearance even though it still doesn't make it right. Lord these books are going to frigging kill me. How can the heart want two people at the same time? How can you love two people at the same time and how does the heart pick?
Loved the book and the banter....Hated being left hanging....cant wait for the next book
